When the new owners of this historic, early Wallace Neff house called SPF:a to discuss a ren- ovation and library addition, Zoltan Pali, FAIA, was only mildly interested. "I had been intimate- ly involved with a Wallace Neff project before," he recalls. "This one was on a property that was once much larger. But I worried that clients who would buy a house like this were probably really into historic architecture."
